And so it began.

So, here's the story.

I'm moving to England in April. There are some promising opportunities presenting themselves there and I am looking at taking advantage of them. There's just one problem.

I'm terrified.

England will be an entirely new continent, let alone country, for me.

So, I've decided that, although I do already know a lot about the country,  a way to practically prepare myself is in the kitchen.

This is why I've decided to start this blog. To chronicle my adventures in English cooking.

I was inspired while reading a James Herriot book to begin this journey.

And it has all started with Yorkshire pudding.

And I succeeded.

This lead me to wonder what else I am capable of in the kitchen.  And here is where you can join me, if you choose, on this adventure.

If you have suggestions for recipes I can try or dishes that you love, or are very England-typical, please share.

I would love to get any other recipes and I intend to share the recipes I do use with you.

Wish me luck!

This is the second batch. I was a bit more consistent on the portioning.

I didn't have a "Yorkshire Pudding" tray, but I found a mini-muffin tray worked sufficiently enough.
